Weinfest 2026: Experiencing German Culture in Palm Beach County
We recently spent an evening at Weinfest at the American German Club of the Palm Beaches in Lake Worth. We went expecting food and wine, but what we enjoyed most was getting a chance to experience and learn more about German culture.
Food and drinks were certainly part of the evening. There was a large spread of appetizers, including meats, cheeses, breads, fruit, vegetables and other items to enjoy while visiting with people. German wines were also available throughout the evening.

But Weinfest was about much more than what was on the tables.
Sharing German Traditions
Throughout the night, there was singing, music and traditional dancing. Many people were dressed in German clothing, and the performances gave us a chance to see traditions that members of the club continue to celebrate and share.

One of the things we enjoyed most was simply talking with people. We met several members and guests during the evening and learned more about Germany, the club and some of the traditions we were seeing.
That is part of what makes events like Weinfest interesting. You don't have to be German to attend. It's an opportunity to spend an evening with people who are proud of their culture and willing to share it with others.
More Than a Food Event
Palm Beach Bites is about food and dining, but food can also introduce us to the people and cultures that make up Palm Beach County.
Weinfest gave us a little of everything — food, wine, music, dancing, conversation and a chance to learn something along the way.
We enjoyed the experience, and we're glad we went.

Good to Know: The American German Club of the Palm Beaches is located at 5111 Lantana Road in Lake Worth and hosts cultural events throughout the year.
